The meaning of life is based in this:
Before creation, God was a Hidden Treasure (hadith qudsi), and He loved to be known and experienced, and so He created creation so that He may be known and discovered.
And since we are created in the image of God, part of our intrinsic desire and purpose is to make ourselves known and express ourselves.
Some say this hadith qudsi is fabricated, but it doesn’t matter if it didn’t come through the prophet of Islam or not, it still is received directly from God Himself to the soul. God isn’t in need of anything or anyone to guide a person or reveal Himself.
