“Then We made you their successors in the land to see how you would act.” [Quran 10:14]
This verse is very peculiar. Why would God need to “see” how someone would act?
It is similar to the verse where God said to Moses:
“And what is that in your right hand, O Moses?” [20:17]
Again, why would God ask that if He is All-Knowing?
Oh, son of Adam! Herein lies a great mystery, with an even greater answer.
