Movie review: Elemental

I watched the movie Elemental by Disney, and was very excited because I thought they were going to creatively explore and experiment with the elements, just like they have done with other things in earlier movies. I have loved Disney movies since I was little, so as a grownup I hoped to find a moment of solace from this stressed world by watching it.

But unfortunately, I found that the elements (water, fire, earth and air) as such was not a goal for the movie, rather the movie was merely a tool for political discourse and initiatives. 😢

There were also children in the movie theater, and I too noticed that many of them got bored, restless and disinterested many times throughout the film. That is not a good sign. The movie was too heavy and political for children, in my opinion, despite being what’s in essence a family movie.

I truly miss the wholesome spirit Disney movies used to have 🙁😔 Creating entire new worlds and exploring the meanings of life instead of just relaying ours with all of its flaws and perils.

But it was fun and mesmerizing at times too.

So I’m going to give it ⭐️⭐️⭐️ out of 5 stars 😊
