I feel like when one positions one’s perception of things within life on a large-scale level (such as global politics and activism), then life, its meaning and innocence begins to suffer.
One gets so caught up in the tides of fluctuating thinking and incriminating principles that one begins to forget and lose sight of what we all exist in and what everything originates from, and replaces it altogether.
Namely, life.
To approach life from a small-scale level (meaning, starting with, tending to and appreciating that which is closest and nearest) I believe much better makes everything it is flourish.
(I am here talking about a desire to change the world. Not simply global presence that is in fact an extension of that small-scale appreciation, such as a person’s artistry.
It is not always wrong to do otherwise of what has been mentioned, of course; we all have our callings, ambitions and strivings. But then I think it’s important to separate that which is closest and nearest (small-scale) from that which is global (large-scale), and maintain a certain distance to the latter, so that the former doesn’t suffer – because it’s there I think the greater life value emanates from, lays or is born. It’s there that one’s presence is. It is there life moves you.)
